Wonderful Trip

Well, Vince and I got back from our little excursion to California, but it wasn't a verry sunny one! We had such a fun time and enjoyed our time away. Here are some real palm trees, a novelty for Vince and I.We went to the aquarium, here's Vince petting the sting ray. An interesting seahorse we saw while we were there. Here's Vince trying to eat a shark.
This picture taken for Vince since he works in the city of Promontory. It was an apartment complex we ran into on our way to the beach.
The sunset on the beach in San Clemente while we had dinner and s'mores.
Uncle Bill and Vince by their fire.

Our cold walk on the beach, 60 degrees and windy!

All in all it was a fun, we got some time away, did some shopping and relaxing and it was wonderful!

Happy Mothers Day!

We hope everyone had a fun day with their families. I had a wonderful day, besides the kids singing in church, my See's Candy, my new purse, Vince came home yesterday from a week long work trip in San Fransisco! It has been fun to have him around again and I think Pepper may have come in close second for missing him while he was away.

In church today one of the speakers had said that we should make every day Mother's Day, and I totally agree!!

What would you do with $1000?

We were in the car and someone won $1000 on the radio and I asked the kids what they would do with $1000, so here it is:

Daniel: "I would buy a thousand candies"

Matthew: "I would buy a truck, an orange truck, that's open in the back with no top on it. If I were 16, because then I could drive it."

Kaylee: "I would buy a thousand chocolates"

Ashley: "Aaah, baaah, baaah"

Congratulations Rob!

Rob has graduated from BYU this weekend with a GPA most of us would not seem possible!!! He is now off to Dental school in Richmond, Virginia. Vince's family came into town, and stayed with us for a few days after. It has been so much fun to have some company around and to get to visit with everyone. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us everyone, and Good Luck Rob!!

Happy 4th Birthday Kaylee!

Kaylee's birthday was actually on the 28th, but we have had so much fun with our family, I haven't had time to get on the computer! We started out the day decorating Kaylee's cake:

Then went to the park with a few friends, Mike & Myla family and Kid's Meals!

Kaylee and her best friend Kayli

Daniel, Kaylee, Mike (behind), Myla and Marcus, and Ashley loving the swing!!

All day we tried to tell Kaylee that she was 4, but she insisted that she wasn't 4 until her party, so she finally got to turn 4 when everyone else came that night for the family party!

Kaylee says...

We were having bratworsts for dinner and Vince explained it as big expensive hot dogs, so Kaylee says:

"Mom, big means fat and your big, so I think you're fat!"

I just thought I would share this with you all for a good laugh, and those of you who don't have kids old enough to insult you, get used to it!!

Change is good, even if it's small

I have decided that when you're feeling restless and you feel like you need a change, it doesn't have to be a life-changing event like buying a new house, or getting a different car, or getting a dog (if you happen to be VINCE). You can feel just as happy with what you have when you can make little changes, like changing around your furniture to make it "feel" like a new house, and changing the colors on your blog to make it "look" like you did something spectacular, but really you clicked a few buttons! (Not to mention Drew and Corinne have a completely cool new layout and I was a bit jealous) So here is my new attempt at feeling like I have changed something, but everything is really the same!
