Brad Paisley!

Okay, so I completely forgot the camera at the concert I actually cared about, and I am soooo mad! Here are some pictures I copied of the internet, but it was so fun and we felt like we got our money's worth for sure. Chad Wicks opened first sang about a half hour, singing "Stealing Cinderella" and a few others then Rodney Atkins did his thing for about an hour--two of his songs are "If Your Going through Hell" and "I've Been Wathcing You". Then Brad Paisley came out finally at 9:30 and sang until 11:00! He sang any song you can think of that you would know, and one or two that we didn't know. It was so great and I would recommend this concert to anyone--I am still mad about not having my camera!!!

Melissa, Naomi and Hannah Montana in Las Vegas

Well, if you didn't know already, I won a trip to see the Hannah Montana concert in Las Vegas! I received airfare, hotel for 2 nights, 2 tickets to the concert and 2 tickets for a "meet and greet" which I now call "see, sign and shove". After long deliberation I decided to take Naomi, my sister, because I just didn't feel right taking Kaylee to "sin city" so young

We had a blast, but ended up coming home earlier than planned because, although there is a lot to do besides gamble, we discovered that it wasn't for us. So, after getting there on Fri. morning, we spent a little time on the strip, visiting the Harley-Davidson Cafe, M&M store (which has 4 levels), the lion habitat, the Coca-Cola store, jay-walkers and as many slot machines as you would imagine there should be in Vegas!

So, we finally got back to the hotel and it was time for the concert. We went prepared with earplugs, water and our "meet and greet" wrist bands. We had great seats and got some good pictures. We saw Ali & AJ along with Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus both perform--amazing, huh?? And, thanks to the standing ovation, we got to see Billy Ray and Miley perform their new song together.

After the concert, we get excited for the big moment and get a little disappointed in the reality of it all. We were ushered into a conference room in the back of the concert hall and told there would be one autograph and one picture for each person in line! Now I had to decide who I was going to disappoint myself when I got home! So they came in the room, sat at a table, we went up to them one by one, they signed your one thing, you bent down for the picture and then was asked to leave out the door and down the hall! That was it, but hey--I can now say I have met her and that is a lot more than a lot of people!

I have to say that before the concert started I was trying to take lessons from Naomi on how to "not look like a dork in a picture", but I think I must not have been listening very well!! I even practiced my chin position so that you don't get that annoying smiley-double-chin, but once I was in the same room as Billy Ray and Miley, it all went out the window and I reverted to my dork pose, oh well!

So, that is our trip and I have a ton more pictures and you can see them if you come over! It was a wonderful time and I am so glad I went!

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Well, it may be tacky to wish myself a Happy Birthday, but after a full day on the computer, the last thing Vince wants to do is sit down in front of one at home! So, I am doing it anyway. :)

I had a wonderful birthday, which was actually celebrated yesterday instead of today since Vince would already be taking it off. I got to go SHOPPING with NO KIDS, for as LONG AS I WANTED,after that we all went to DINNER with my parents, then to my house for DESSERT and PRESENTS. I don't know about you, but it was pretty much the perfect day for me.

Thanks Vince for letting me have a great 29th!!! (I know you were all wondering. And this is the real 29, not the one I may become in later years. hee hee.) I am actually looking forward to 30 because then I will actually be "old enough" to have 4 kids and a minivan!
