PEPPER the puppy

We got a puppy on Saturday, she was so cute we had to take her home. We are still trying to adjust, but from everything I keep hearing from other puppy owners, she is a wonderful puppy. She is so patient with the kids and she sleeps through the night, and she is partially house-trained already! She is a 9 week old boston terrier. The kids love her, almost too much sometimes and they can't wait to teach her some tricks! Anyone who wants to come and see her is welcome anytime!!!

Haircuts...

Here is Kaylee's first actual haircut. She has been wanting her hair short for a few months, but I have fighting it and then she never actually let me brush it or put it in ponytails, etc., unless forced, so I broke down and did it. At first I was going to take her to someone, but then I figured I could do it, and I think it turned out pretty cute! The boys also got their haircuts so they wanted me to take their picture, but they wouldn't let me do their hair, so its pretty much bed-head. And Ashley has a few years before her hair even needs a barrette so here she is being cute.

Happy Valentines Day--thus the red :)

Well, I have been the worst blogger in history--except maybe for my sister, Naomi, who took 3 months to post a second entry and I haven't seen a third one yet! And so here I am trying to catch up....

We have been deciding whether to move (within our ward) or not and thought it would be better not to move, and just fix our basement. So we got the yellow paint out of one half and replaced it with a light nuetral color, and in the next few weeks will have our carpet in the whole basement--I have been wanting for it for 2 years!! I may have a couple before and after pictures once we get the carpet.

Once we decided on the house thing, life was easy for a few days, until a friend mentioned that they knew someone who needed to get rid of their pugg dog which got Vince way too excited! So we called, but they had already given it away. That means that we spent the next week looking at all the puppy options online, Vince showing the kids so they would get excited and tell me that they needed one, and deciding again that we are fine where we are and we definitly could wait for a dog!

So, now we are back to square one and just finishing up the basement and doing an early spring cleaning. We think everything will feel bigger and better here once we get the carpet in the basement and we will feel like we could stay for a while longer!

I am off to help at Daniel's Valentine party--I think I am just as excited as he is! All I remember about Valentines parties in elementary was passing out cards into peoples bags and eating cookies/cupcakes, but now they have crafts, games and treats! How fun is that??
